How to Meet Other Bisexual People

Step 1

Come out to your friends as a bisexual person. While it is important to protect your privacy, it is also true that when you tell people you are bisexual, the more likely they are to come out to you or help you meet other bisexual people whom they know.

Step 2

Get active in the organizing effort for the next Pride celebration in your community. Bisexual men and woman usually play fun, imaginative roles in Pride activities, regardless of their numbers. Get contact information for bisexual groups or individuals who are participating in Pride and get involved.

Step 3

Explore other interesting features on your local Craigslist website to find community events, personals and groups for bisexual people and others. Adding "bisexual" in the search field for any Craigslist topic can bring listings into sharper focus, if any exist.

Step 4

Find a bisexual support group in your community by checking the LGBT periodicals and websites that serve your area or by contacting a community-based organization that works with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) people. Such groups often include social and recreational activities and can provide a relaxed atmosphere in which to meet other bisexual people.

Step 5

Consider posting your profile on your favorite social networking website, such as MySpace, Facebook, Nerve.com or Gather.com. Read other people's profiles to get familiar with a website's culture, and make careful decisions first about how much information you want to put out in cyberspace about yourself.

Bisexuality exists

Some people are attracted to women; some are attracted to men. And some, if Sigmund Freud, Dr. Alfred Kinsey and millions of self-described bisexuals are to be believed, are drawn to both sexes.

But a new study casts doubt on whether true bisexuality exists, at least in men.

The study, by a team of psychologists in Chicago and Toronto, lends support to those who have long been skeptical that bisexuality is a distinct and stable sexual orientation.

People who claim bisexuality, according to these critics, are usually homosexual, but are ambivalent about their homosexuality or simply closeted. "You're either gay, straight or lying," as some gay men have put it.

In the new study, a team of psychologists directly measured genital arousal patterns in response to images of men and women. The psychologists found that men who identified themselves as bisexual were in fact exclusively aroused by either one sex or the other, usually by other men.

The study is the largest of several small reports suggesting that the estimated 1.7 percent of men who identify themselves as bisexual show physical attraction patterns that differ substantially from their professed desires.

"Research on sexual orientation has been based almost entirely on self-reports, and this is one of the few good studies using physiological measures," said Dr. Lisa Diamond, an associate professor of psychology and gender identity at the University of Utah, who was not involved in the study.

The discrepancy between what is happening in people's minds and what is going on in their bodies, she said, presents a puzzle "that the field now has to crack, and it raises this question about what we mean when we talk about desire."

"We have assumed that everyone means the same thing," she added, "but here we have evidence that that is not the case."

Several other researchers who have seen the study, scheduled to be published in the journal Psychological Science, said it would need to be repeated with larger numbers of bisexual men before clear conclusions could be drawn.

Bisexual desires are sometimes transient and they are still poorly understood. Men and women also appear to differ in the frequency of bisexual attractions. "The last thing you want," said Dr. Randall Sell, an assistant professor of clinical socio-medical sciences at Columbia University, "is for some therapists to see this study and start telling bisexual people that they're wrong, that they're really on their way to homosexuality."

He added, "We don't know nearly enough about sexual orientation and identity" to jump to these conclusions.

In the experiment, psychologists at Northwestern University and the Center for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto used advertisements in gay and alternative newspapers to recruit 101 young adult men. Thirty-three of the men identified themselves as bisexual, 30 as straight and 38 as homosexual.

The researchers asked the men about their sexual desires and rated them on a scale from 0 to 6 on sexual orientation, with 0 to 1 indicating heterosexuality, and 5 to 6 indicating homosexuality. Bisexuality was measured by scores in the middle range.

Seated alone in a laboratory room, the men then watched a series of erotic movies, some involving only women, others involving only men.

Using a sensor to monitor sexual arousal, the researchers found what they expected: gay men showed arousal to images of men and little arousal to images of women, and heterosexual men showed arousal to women but not to men.

But the men in the study who described themselves as bisexual did not have patterns of arousal that were consistent with their stated attraction to men and to women. Instead, about three-quarters of the group had arousal patterns identical to those of gay men; the rest were indistinguishable from heterosexuals.

"Regardless of whether the men were gay, straight or bisexual, they showed about four times more arousal" to one sex or the other, said Gerulf Rieger, a graduate psychology student at Northwestern and the study's lead author.

Although about a third of the men in each group showed no significant arousal watching the movies, their lack of response did not change the overall findings, Mr. Rieger said.

Why Are People So Afraid of Bisexuals?

I don’t like the term bisexual; I prefer to think of myself as a person of no fixed sexual orientation. It better suits the amorphous world I inhabit.

“How do you identify?”

“Oh, I’m a PoNFSO.”

Okay; it’s a little unwieldy, and abbreviated, it hardly rolls off the tongue. So, neither fish nor fowl, I content myself with being the bacon in the LGBT sandwich.

I didn’t come of age as a free-spirited bisexual. I always knew it was what I was, at least from the point at which I knew what the term meant. As a child, I had crushes on both boys and girls. When my best friend in high school lost her virginity, I was beside myself. But how was I to tell her I was in love with her -- especially after I had spent the previous year utterly smitten with a boy?

I remember being very little, maybe four, watching the Ed Sullivan Show, mesmerized by the siren on the screen, Miss Peggy Lee.

In my memory, she is wearing a satin evening gown and a feather boa. I’m laying on my belly, looking up at the television. I can still feel the scratchy texture of the fake-braided rug on my elbows as I propped up my head with my arms.

I didn’t know whether I wanted to be Peggy Lee, or just wanted to touch her.

Anal vibrators online

When choosing an anal sex vibrator, bear in mind that they are shorter and thinner than regular vibrators and feature a flared or extended base for easy removal. Anal vibrators generally measure 4 to 6 inches long with a width that can vary from 0.75 to 1.25 inches.

When using anal vibrators, it’s important to apply lots of lube to the anus and the vibrator itself for a smooth penetration. With sufficient lube, the anal vibrator should slide in and out with only slight resistance. DO NOT FORCE IT IN.

If the resistance is too much, you can try inserting a finger to slightly loosen the sphincter ring. If that doesn’t work, stop trying to use the anal vibrator. Continue the finger exercises regularly over a two week period to loosen up the sphincter before trying out the anal vibrator again.

When finding your first anal vibrator, then choose one of the smaller sized anal vibrators or one advertised as a beginner’s model. Until you have adjusted to the experience and know you can handle it, buying a larger anal vibrator is just asking for trouble.

These great vibrators are not just male anal sex toys but ladies love them too.

Sexual orientation

Nowadays, bisexuality isn’t a taboo. People don’t hide their sexual orientation at all, they even are proud of it.

I’m a gay or I’m a lesbian!! This you can hear in every pub where you sit, drinking your beer.

You are not surprised… You only look at this person more often because of your curiosity…

But, do you ask yourself how this person has determined his sexual orientation? This was his decision or he was forced by circumstances?

Generally, the majority of teenagers go through periods when they are not sure about their sexual orientation. Many of them think that they are abnormal without any facts.

In this period of their life, it appears some communication problems with parents. This thing has stopped them to discuss with their parents about sexual orientation. They feel themselves alone, without help and then they could take a wrong decision.

Have discussion. Talk to him; don’t let him feel alone, unhappy and non-useful.
Be tolerance and sociable. Let’s help him to understand how it is after all.

Homosexuality origin

There are several theories about homosexuality origin: endemic theory of Barton, psychoanalytic of Freud, genetic, neurogenic, neuro endocrinal of Derner, endocrinic and others.

The theory of A. Haker is very popular in Western countries according to which people are born sexual-neutral and have a general sexual predilection. Then, sexual experience determines choice of sexual orientation in the future.

But, no theory explains totally the origin of homosexuality attraction. Psychically, homosexuals, as a rule are normal people without any pathologic aspects. The only difference is direction of their libido.

The rest of connections in homosexual couples (interpersonal, emotional, and sexual) are the same as for normal couples. That’s why homosexualism is excluded from list of diseases in the last international classifications.

Many sexologists think that homosexual people are more impressive, excitable, are subject to frequent changes of their mood, their opinion can be changed easily and they are vulnerable.

The attitude of society to the homosexual people was different in different époques. American sociologists while studying international cultures, have determined that only 15% of homosexuals of male genre and 11% of female genre reject homosexuality.

In many ancient books are described rituals with homosexual note, especially rituals in many diggers from North USA.

Very often, shamans from diggers were homosexuals. The attitude to homosexualism became repressive when Christianity has appeared. The necessity of such attitude was for the purpose of increasing the birth rate.

After World War II, American researchers contributed to formation of public opinion and juridical legislation about homosexuality, because exactly at this time it was demonstrated firstly that homosexuality is not a disease, not a sex anomaly but another sexual orientation.

Homosexuality starts to be authorized in many countries of America and Europe. These processes of authorization and tolerance with regard to homosexuality mean that there are some changes in society’s conscience.

Prophylaxis of homosexuality means firstly a right hygienic and sexual education.

Sexual dreams of a woman

“Darling…”

“Yes, my dear”

“I have to tell you something. Can I?”

She gazes at him. He doesn’t feel well after such look. They are lying in the bed without any clothes on them. His heart starts quicken. He analyzes her face in order to read the secret on it. But she hides it very well.

She is sitting near of him. She is beautiful with her serious face. Was she infidel? Or maybe she is pregnant?

“Yesterday night, I had a dream. Erotic one.”

“And…”

“It was summer. I was dressed in a short skirt and white blouse. I was walking in a park. A nice girl was sitting on a bench. She rings a bell. I remembered. I know her. I know her from school. ”

“What is strange in your story, my dear?” He asks her.

“Listen to me and then you will understand. I go around her. We welcome each other. Then, I kiss her lips and neck.

She was dressed also in a skirt, but red one and black blouse. As you know black and red is a hot combination. She smiles me. I sit down near her on the bench just for a while, we look at each other. I look into her blue eyes. They always amazed me.”

He starts to listen her very attentive. He wants to know the continuation.

“Well, I start to kiss again. Her tongue comes inside of my mouth. It is hot and my other body’s parts become hot too. Ouch! She undresses me step by step. She doesn’t forget to touch all my erogenous zones. I am excited” ….

Have you ever had such erotic dreams? I mean to make love with a person of the same sex as you. If yes, do you want to experience this dream in reality?
