On 7th of December 2008 at 12.30 pm hundreds of homosexuals, bisexuals and transsexuals have protested on the square Pius the XII-th against the position of the Sacred Chair.
The reason of the tumultuous conflict was because of the rejection of the declaration signed by all the 27 states members of EU.
The declaration stated that homosexuality should be threw out from the list of infractions.
The demonstrators had flags, placards with different messages and a ribbon across the neck.
It's well known that in many states (80) homosexuality is included in the Penal Code. While 7 states (most Muslim) this sexual behavior is sanctioned with total punishment as in Yemen, Nigeria, Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, Iran and in United Arabic Emirates.
“The Catholic Church wants to exterminate homosexuals!”, “Homosexuality is not a delict”, “Homosexuals pay taxes, Vatican – doesn't!” were slogans that marked lots of placards displayed by the manifestants.
It remains for us to wait and see which will be the end of the story. Hope it will have a happy end!
