AIDS has a great impact over bisexuals and the society's attitudes towards them. Nowadays, most bisexual men are condemned and regarded as the main agents of AIDS transmission from homosexuals to straight population.
The same way bisexual women are scapegoated. Many claim that they transmit AIDS to lesbians.
Nevertheless, it is worthy to mention that this myth doesn't deal with one's sexual orientation but with his/her own behavior and approach to this problem.
Every individual who cares about his life knows that activities that involve the exchange of body fluids (semen, blood, saliva, vaginal fluid) are very dangerous. And all people must know about that, be they straight or bisexuals.
This is the reason why everywhere and every time we are told to always use condoms or dental dams (for females only) during each sexual activity. Bisexuals like all straight couples and homosexuals must realize and educate themselves about safety methods and sexual health.
For sex guidelines and other advice this minority is invited to resort to health centers and health care providers.
I know that many bisexuals join with homosexuals in an effort to avoid contamination with AIDS.
They call for more attention focused on education, research, treatments, say nothing on the individuals with AIDS who are discriminated by normal people.
